What will you do to be a better leader in Quarter 2 than you were in Quarter 1? Will you be a humble learner?
Did the end of March catch you by surprise? How did we get here so fast? It was very easy to get caught in the whirlwind of ‘busy’ and ‘getting things done’ without taking pause to consider of they were ‘the RIGHT things to get done’.
I will be the first to admit – I didn’t get it all ‘right things done’ in Q1. For many, not getting it right may have been more time on the task, and less time with the team. It could have been taking more time dealing with external issues (ie. responses to COVID, budgets and staff shortages) that dealing with internal issues (ie. the personal impacts of COVID, stress and fatigue).
Take a moment to consider: What can you learn from Q1 for action in Q2? What can you do more of? Less of? What do you need to start doing? What do you need to stop doing?
Before getting caught up in the busyness and business of post-Easter Q2 work – take a moment to LEARN from the recent past and be CONSCIOUS OF YOUR ACTIONS moving forward.
